This mural depicts Fire Station 5 when constructed in 1953 and includes SAFD apparatus dating from 1921 to present.

This display shows equipment used on our fire trucks and Haz-Mat (hazardous materials) units. The large circular item is a life net used in the 1960s and 1970s for rescues from upper windows. It was carried by our truck companies. Ladders replaced this item from our inventory.
